Beach Blanket Babylon

This is the longest running musical revue in theater history.  It first started in 1974 in San Francisco and has changed theaters once since it's opening. Performers wear disproportionately large hats/wigs and gaudy costumes while performing satirical renditions of popular songs.

The current show features Snow White as she takes a fast-paced journey around the world in search of her "Prince Charming".  Along the way she encounters a cast of hilarious pop-culture characters including the Obamas, Adele, Bill & Hillary, Mitt, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Oprah, cast of Glee, etc. In the end, her Price Charming is Elvis Presley.  The songs they sage are real with the words changed to fit the show or current events. The show is frequently updated to keep pace with current events and is very entertaining.  The singers are really, really good and I don't know how they move in the head-pieces. I first saw the show in the mid 1990's so it was fun to go back again.
