Another favorite of Bill Clinton's

In business since 1988, Doe's is a perfect example of a hole-in-the-wall dive! However, the food is wonderful... Not far from the State Capitol, it achieved national prominence during the 1992 presidential election campaign when Clinton staffers made it their hangout. When Rolling Stone magazine interviewed candidate Clinton, Doe's was the setting. The walls are covered with photographic memorabilia. Now for the food....homemade hamburgers and homemade french fries to die for. Steaks are priced per lb. For example, on the menu is a 2-3 LB T-Bone for $16.50 per lb. It is served family style on a platter covered with home made french fries. A 3.5 - 6 LB sirloin steak goes for $15.50 per lb. Very different way to price steaks in a restaurant... We got there about 11:10 am and were the 2nd table with people there. However, when we left about an hour later, it was almost full and they have about 30 tables.
